Age is just a Number!

My birthday is a week away.  I have been up and down about growing a year older because I am ding dong ditching on 40.  I like the idea of ding dong ditching because I feel young.  I like the thrill of running up to someones door ringing the bell and running like a bat out of hell so I am not caught!

This brings me to the sillyness at the airport.  Lauren and Thomas went to their Dad's Christmas morning to spend their week with him.  I picked up a shift at the airport so my coworker could stay home with her children.  It was a long yet fun day goofing off as our flights were not full.  After work we all decided to play wii at a girls house (yes I was the oldest one....there was an 18 yr old, 19 yr old, 20 yr old, 21 yr old and 24yr old).  I came up with the bright idea of saran wrapping someone's house.  We decided on one of the guys that work on the ramp because he lives in a small place.  After several stops we found saran wrap (turns out Walgreens is open 24 hours...even on Christmas).  We got 3 rolls and planned to wrap his home so he couldn't get out of his front door!  By the way we were all sober!!  After the wrap was in place a couple people banged on the door for the guy to come out and after seeing the door hit the saran wrap we jetted.  I might have peed my pants because I was laughing so hard (darn weak muscles from having kids)!  The next day we all pretended like we were not together and waited to see if he would say anything to us.  It didn't take long for our phones to start beeping with texts saying we did it but we stayed strong and denied all dealings.  In fact they were questioning what kind of car I drove and i actually said what kind!  Not the smartest thing to do.  That night a bunch of people came over to  my house to watch a movie and hang out after work.  This was the 2nd late night for me in a row...I couldn't hang...so I went to bed at 3am and told the kids (yeah I have to say kids because they are sooo much younger than me) to lock up when they leave.  I woke up late sunday hurrying around to get ready for Cardinals tail gating with one of my best friends and her brother's friends.  I love Cardinals and tail gating!  I run to my car and what do I see????  I had been hit by the saran wrap fairy.  Yes, my car was wrapped up like a Christmas present.  Of course I took a picture because I knew Gina wouldn't believe I was late because I had to unwrap my car.  LOL  Once I was in my car I called the ramp boy thinking he had done it.  I thought it was funny but would have liked for them to ring my bell the night before so I wasn't late to tail gate.  He said he didn't do it and as we talked I realized that my friend (who was with me when we originally did the guy's house and was at my house till 3am the night before) had did it to me after all!  You would think it would stop there but of course not.  Two days later we were working again and decided to get there early to pass along the love to another ramp guy.  We thought we were so sly.  We were so quiet and stayed low so no one would hear us until we heard "Are you girls having fun?"  BAH  OMG It was Marco the guy whose car we were wrapping!  His friend happened to be arriving to work as we pulled up to do the car.  He sat in his car watching us while he called Marco to come to his car in the parking garage.  I almost peed my pants!   As we worked we wondered what will happen next!  Will they get us back?  As we headed to my friends truck we were laughing about getting caught then our mouths dropped as we saw Whitney's truck!  Yeah they got her back...every window was whited out with window paint and saran wrap around some of the vehicle.  I will say they did a great job.  I was laughing so hard because in one window there was a fallic symbol and one of the girls (19 yrs old) who is very innocent was sitting by it.  I could not stop laughing.  Yes you can imagaine I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants again!  You would think the story was done here right as we had all been hit by the saran wrap fairy.  Well of course not it has to continue.  I walk out to my car this past week to see rainbows all over every window!  Although it was humorous I was a bit annoyed because I needed to pick up my kids but couldn't drive.  So I had to stop at the gas station first to clean my windows.  Now many of you may think this is juvenile and yes it is but at least it is harmless fun.  Many of you might think I should turn the other cheek.  But come on this friend of mine is a stinker.  She is now hitting all of her friends cars so it is time for her to go down.  I have been plotting what I will do to take her down.  I have a plan but will not post till it has been completed in case she is reading this:)  So yes I am turning 37 but I realize it is just a number.  I am still as fun and crazy as I always have been.  And that is the beauty of life.  I can be a fun and crazy kid yet be a professional, a mother and a friend to people of all ages.  I love the opportunity to show my children that when it is time to be serious I can be but when it is time to have fun that hands down I can have fun even if it is saran wrapping cars:)
